Sunny village Terenten

The sunny village Terenten in the Puster Valley

In beautiful curves, the sun road leads to the sunny village of Terenten. Where there is a theme trail ‘sun’, a sun playground with Kneipp facility, exhibited ‘sun art’ in the village center and natural solariums, the following fact is probably a logical conclusion: Terenten may enjoy the longest sunshine in South Tyrol. So it is not surprising that the ‘Terner’ are themselves a bunch of sunny minds.

Or is that because of the view? Terenten has made himself comfortable on a high mountain plateau of the Puster Valley. From here, the view sweeps into the Dolomite peaks in the southeast and even up to many of the Sarntal Alps in the west. So many mountains seem close enough to touch. Others are too.

In summer, you can wander our rustic pastures, the earth pyramids and the Mill trail. Other attractive hiking destinations are the mountain summit of the Eidechsspitze or the Hochgrubbachspitze.
In winter you can go snowshoeing, ski touring or skiing in the Kronplatz area, which is about half an hour away. For beginners there is also a light slope in the village of Terenten or you can go for a leisurely tobogganing! 5 minutes away from our farm starts the toboggan run to the Pertinger Alm. 20 minutes away you can climb to the Moarhof Alm, which also offers a great toboggan run!
